Nor Lines takes the responsibility we have as a transport service very seriously.
The spread of the coronavirus and the Government’s actions can impact the transport of goods greatly. Nor Lines are following the advice of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health and we evaluate the situation as it changes.
Nor Lines has implemented a range of measures to ensure the safety of our employees and customers. We have temporarily lifted the Proof of Delivery (POD) requirement and instead our delivery person will enter the receivers full name in capital letters.
Nor Lines continue to operate as normal and we are continuously working to find the best transport solutions for our customers. However, with the current conditions we are likely to experience situations where we are not always able to follow the normal schedule for transport on road and at sea. We ask that you bear with us in the event of a delayed shipment.
Nor Lines continue to distribute goods for customers as normal, however, we would like to make customers aware that our terminals are mainly points of delivery and that the terminals do not have the capacity to store goods for customers who are not able to receive their deliveries. If a receiving customer is unable to take in goods at the time, Nor Lines need to return the goods to sender, according to agreement. In some cases, Nor Lines can assist with finding appropriate storage solutions for a short period of time. Fees would be according to current regulations.
If any questions, please contact your local Nor Lines office.
